This year we celebrate the Year of the Family. The Spanish Classes are following our Holy Father’s invitation to take a closer look at families. Their first step was to watch a video about family life in Mexico. Discussion and peer sharing followed. The students took yet another step. The students are now comparing and contrasting families of America to families in Mexico. Through their research and pair sharing they are discovering many similarities between the families. As one student said, “There is diversity in our world but families where ever they bonded through love, working, praying, and being together.” Families share life.
The students will have the choice to create and design a book, or create a video or presentation to depict their findings in a creative manner. The rubrics for the project will be distributed in class. When the projects are completed they will be shared on this web page. Return to this page in a few weeks to view them.
