We began the month of November by having our wonderful oral presentations of the student's Confirmation Saint. The banners and the written reports were beautifully done. I was very impressed with all of the oral reports and we all learned a lot of new facts about the Saints. We have been very busy learning all about the Sacraments, and most especially Confirmation. We now know all the facts about Confirmation, and we will be spending the rest of the year learning how to live out our faith and put what we learned into everyday practice. The first way we put our faith into action was by participating in a Thanksgiving activity of making sandwiches for Elijah's Promise along with the rest of the middle school.

We are ending our month by having a Thanksgiving Gratitude Prayer Service in our classroom. Each student was to come up with 10 things that he or she are grateful for this holiday season. We begin with an empty bowl which represents our lives without the many blessings from our Lord Jesus Christ. Then each student will place a brightly colored candy in the empty bowl for each of the 10 things that they are grateful for. As we go around the room and see the bowl overflow with candy, we are reminded that if we have Jesus in our lives, we will have a rich and colorful life filled with an abundance of His many Blessings.

"Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow."

I would like to wish all of my students and their families a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with an abundance of His many Blessings!
