Action Alert: State Funding Cut for Nonpublic School Programs
The New Jersey Catholic Conference has issued an Action Alert regarding Governor Christie's Budget for Fiscal Year 2017, which contains a 6.8% funding cut for nonpublic school programs such as security, nursing services, and technology, as well as a freeze on transportation funding. ST A'S IN THE NEWS – THE CATHOLIC SPIRIT – APRIL 21, 2016
|Two St. A's students won awards in the Diocese of Metuchen Office of Respect for Life's annual Respect for Life Poster Contest. Students were asked to submit posters illustrating this year's theme of "Every Life is Worth Living." Eighth grader Patricia P.'s entry won Second Place and Seventh grader Kristina I.'s poster won First Place. HSA BOARD MEMBER HONORED BY HUGS FOR BRADY FOUNDATION
|Home School Association board member and St. A's alumna Jodi Brywka has been named an Ellen Gambatese Pediatric Cancer Volunteer of the Year by the Hugs for Brady Foundation for her generous support of pediatric cancer research. She will be honored at the Hugs for Brady 6th Annual Winter Gala in Somerset, New Jersey on March 5. Congratulations to Mrs. Brywka from the entire St. Augustine School family!|
