Upcoming Events
St. Augustine’s Year of Grace is well underway and there are still many opportunities to be part of this special year. Along with the many spiritual celebrations to nourish the soul, there are several opportunities for parishioners to gather for social celebrations. Mark your calendars and watch the bulletin in the coming months for information on these future parish events:
- Sunday, August 10, 2008—A Birthday Party—Join in Father Bob’s 50th birthday celebration! A reception following the 12 Noon Mass—cake, ice cream, light snacks. Registration form will be in the bulletin as the date draws near and must be submitted by July 25.
WRAPPING UP THE YEAR OF GRACE—FINAL PARISH CELEBRATIONS
- Sunday, September 7, 2008—PARISH PICNIC—celebrating 50 years of St. Augustine of Canterbury Parish. Picnic tickets go on sale in late August. Parish attire—shirts & jackets—will be sold prior to this event.
- Sunday, September 21, 2008—MASS & RECEPTION—Most Reverend Paul G. Bootkoski, Bishop of Metuchen, celebrant at the 12 Noon Mass, followed by a parish reception. Registration required.
- Wednesday, September 24, 2008—50th ANNIVERSARY of the establishment of the parish—Choir concert followed by a reception. Registration required.
- Friday, September 26, 2008—GOLDEN JUBILEE DINNER/DANCE at the East Brunswick Chateau—$70 per person—tickets go on sale in late Spring.
