A brief history
It was Father Michael J. McGivney along with a small group of men that started the Knights at St Mary's parish in Connecticut back in 1882. The state of Connecticut officially chartered the Knights on March 29, 1882. If you want to know more about Father McGivney please clink on the link.

 

St Augustine's Knights of Columbus Council #6345 was chartered on February 28, 1972.

Mission

  • Aid one another in times of sickness or death, by means of a simple insurance plan, so that their wives and children would not face poverty.
  • Strengthen themselves and each other in the faith.
  • Strengthen families and family life.
  • A strong pillar of support for their priests and bishops.
  • Service the church and community by coming to the aid of those most in need in society.
